HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH

HAPPY NEW YEAR

wave coming to cover year 2014 leaving 2015 written on the sand

We are looking forward to an amazing 2015 with many new courses, programs and events being offered at the center.

The highlight this month is the ASANA & PRANAYAMA mini-intensive weekend 'retreat' with senior teacher, Gajananam. If your New Year resolution was to immerse yourself more deeply in yoga practice, then this will be perfect for you. It is open to practitioners of all yoga traditions and will provide both an introduction to the elements of the Sivananda TTC and also an opportunity for experienced teachers and practitioners to improve their teaching skills and their own personal practice. This is the first of many weekend retreats which we are introducing this year.

We are delighted that Amita, a divine kirtan singer, will be leading kirtan in place of evening satsang on Wednesday evenings through January and February - mark your agenda so you can join the bhakti bliss!

We will be offering a series of vegetarian cooking classes over January and February. Janaki's classes are very popular for both beginners and experienced cooks alike. She offers a balance of information, inspiration and simple, delicious recipes - and you get to eat the food that you help to prepare!

This month we also have a weekend of Ayurveda presented by local ayurveda therapist, teacher and chef, Jeff Perlman. January is an important month for cleansing and re-balancing the body through appropriate diet and other lifestyle choices. Learn what is perfect for your personal constitution and become your own health physician.

Also new in January is gentle yoga and dance offered with a taste of Jewish spirit by Paulette Rochelle-Levy.

Watch out for more changes of schedule and new events ... as well as the regular classes, courses and events.

May 2015 bring many blessings for us all,
Om shanti,
Swami Omkarananda
